The York Region Chamber of Commerce is offering 2 scholarship awards of $1000.

An annual scholarship program has been offered by York Region Chamber of Commerce every year for the last 5 years. We are happy to announce that we will continue the tradition this year as well. Seeing the good that it did in the past few years, we decided to do one better and offer two $1000 awards beginning in May of 2019. As part of the program this far, $1000 will be awarded to a student from the York Region who plans to attend a College or University program for a duration of 4 years or more. This year, another $1000 will be awarded to a student from the York Region who will be attending a Trades or Technical program. This award has been introduced with the goal of encouraging future skilled tradesmen and women in the State of Maine.

An annual scholarship program is offered by York Region Chamber of  Commerce. We are very proud of the bright and dedicated students of the York Region. Through this scholarship program, we want to contribute towards their education post high school and hope that in the future the award recipients will exercise the skills they have learned by living and working in Maine.

The scholarship will be awarded to two students following an essay competition and interview session. Students are eligible to apply if:

  • They are residents of York, Kittery, Eliot or South Berwick
  • They have or will graduate in the current year of the scholarship
