Paper Shredding

The Chamber will continue to have secure shredding bins available for the public to use. We are indefinitely continuing the project past the original April date. Please note that the price has increased for non-members so that we are able to cover the cost of having these bins emptied. If you have a substantial amount of materials to shred, please call us before arriving to be sure that there is room in the bins. (They are picked up on an as-needed basis now.)

Local residents and business owners can dispose of their confidential documents anytime during our normal business hours. We are open Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am – 1:00pm. In the case of inclement weather, please call ahead to be sure we are open.

This is a free service for chamber members; however, donations are welcomed. Limit one bin per visit.

General Public:
$10.00 per visit – filling half bin or less
$20.00 per visit – for anything over half a bin, limit 1 full bin per visit.

Each container is a 64 gallon bin

FMI: Call 207-363-4422.

We strongly encourage you to call ahead because the bins have been filling up quickly. In that case, we can let you know when they will be empty and available again.

Check out the Environmental Impact Report here.

The bins arrive locked and they are always locked. Users must feed their documents into a slot at the top. Documents are NOT shredded here at the Chamber. The locked bins are removed and brought to an industrial shredder. If you have questions about shredding, call the Chamber – 207.363.4422
